Early Childhood Mental Health Supports Project

Early childhood is a critical time for supporting social and emotional wellness. The Early Childhood Mental Health Supports Project provides support to children, families, and early childhood professionals to develop social and emotional skills and build resilience while reducing challenging behaviors and addressing mental health needs.

The Early Childhood Mental Health Supports Project is based on the Pyramid Model and includes:

  • Family education opportunities
  • Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation
  • Professional development
  • Support for high quality early childhood programs

Family Education Opportunities

Families are a child’s best and first teacher, but raising children can be tough! Family education opportunities are designed to give families the tools and skills that can help them to support their child’s development. Talk with our Family Education Coordinator to learn more about online and face-to-face opportunities from Grand Beginnings and other community partners.

Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation

This program provides support and resources for early childhood teachers, service providers, and families to work together to address the needs of young children who may need a little extra help in building social and emotional skills like resilience, regulation, friendship skills, or attachment. Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation is provided by a grant through Temple Hoyne Buell and is a free service of Grand Beginnings.
